Advanced Adventurer Diver Course – SSI
You are already a certified Open Water Diver and enjoying what the underwater world has to offer but now want to expand your experience and try something new underwater. Build your confidence and gain further skills by completing 5 great adventure dives including a Deep Dive, a Navigation Dive and a Night Dive. Join us for this 2 – 3 day course and become an Advanced Adventurer Diver. The Advanced Adventurer Course consists of 5 dives; for example a Deep Dive, a Navigation Dive, a Nitrox Dive, a Wreck Dive and a Night Dive or you can choose from a long list of specialty dives. Choose what you like and what suits your own personal areas of interest!
The Deep Dive training involves diving to a maximum depth of 30m where you’ll learn how to stay safe in the deep blue. Deep divers can experience “nitrogen narcosis” and get what we call “narked”, which can feel a little like being drunk – you will be perfectly safe but we will set you some fun tests to show you the affects nitrogen narcosis can have on a diver and teach you how to recognize the signs in yourself and other divers.
The Navigation Dive training shows you how to use of an underwater compass teaches you a variety of underwater distance-measuring techniques and also natural navigation to improve your navigation skills and techniques under water. - Scooter Diving – Underwater Scooters offer a thrilling way to see a lot of underwater territory in a brief amount of time. They scoot you through the water without kicking. A Scooter is a great way to see more and have a blast doing it.
- Computer Diving – Plan dives that extend your bottom time by crediting you for slower nitrogen absorption when you ascend to a shallower depth. That’s the way you really dive, after all.

- Search and Recovery – You will learn search and recovery dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and how to deal with potential problems, how to use a lift bag and other recovery methods and limited visibility search techniques.
- Under Water Naturalist – Look closer to see more on your next dive. Look for symbioses, predator/prey and other relationships between aquatic plant and animal life. Learn not just what fish and animals are, but how they interact with each other and the environment.
