Try Scuba Diving – Introduction Course SSI
Were you ever curious how it feels to breathe under water? If you want to try but don’t have the time or money to invest in a full course, jump right in with SSI’s Try Scuba Diving program! Working alongside a fully-qualified SSI diving instructor, you will start out on a shallow beach and practice a few skills before heading out for a real dive, to a maximum depth of 6 metres, out in the open water where you will be surrounded by stunning corals, colourful fish and exotic marine life.
Open Water Diver Course (OWD)
Let’s face it, this is why most of you head to Koh Tao, Turtle Island, in the first place – to learn to dive and experience the wonders of a whole new world. If you want to learn how and discover what wonders lie below the surface of the oceans, which cover almost three-quarters of the planet, then this is the scuba diving course for you! In just 3 ½ days, you can become a certified SSI Open Water Diver, the real adventures can then begin and you can embark on what we hope will be a life-long love affair with diving that will take you around the world.
Advanced Adventurer Diver Course
You are already a certified Open Water Diver and enjoying what the underwater world has to offer but now want to expand your experience and try something new underwater. Build your confidence and gain further skills by completing 5 great adventure dives including a Deep Dive, a Navigation Dive and a Night Dive. Join us for this 2 – 3 day course and become an SSI Advanced Adventurer Diver.
Diver Stress & Rescue Course
A challenging and rewarding experience which increases your and your dive buddies’ safety. This 3 day diving course expands on what you already know to prevent problems, and teaches you how to stay calm and react when things go wrong.
Dive Control Specialist (DiveCon)
Your first step into the world of dive professionals, which will allow you to work on a dive boat, guide divers through the fascinating underwater world, refresh the knowledge and skills of certified divers if they haven’t dived in a while during a Scuba Skills Update and introduce non divers to the underwater world during a Try Scuba Diving Course.
During your DiveCon Internship you will work closely with an Instructor and expand your dive knowledge & skills as well as your leadership abilities to a professional level, qualifying you to lead dive activities and assist instructors.
Scuba Skills Update / Refresher Course
Has it been a while since you’ve been scuba diving? Do you feel like your scuba skills and knowledge are a bit rusty? The Scuba Skills Update / tune-up course is just the refresher you need. It re-acquaints you with diving and all the skills you need so that you’re back to feeling comfortable and confident in the underwater world in less than a day.
Emergency First Response Course (EFR)
Would you like to learn how to handle an emergency and help others? If so, the PADI Emergency First Response program covers basic training for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care. A valid EFR certificate (not older than two years) is a prerequisite for the Diver Stress & Rescue Course as well as for the Dive Control Specialist Course.
